Scope: Furnishing for 30 hostel rooms
In the beautiful northern German town of Wismar, this year, "the Kittchen" was created from a former prison, a modern hostel that embraces the historical substance of the building and creates a unique stay experience with tasteful interior design.
Part of the concept is the Variand-system in 30 single, double, and multi-bed rooms, which combines important functional and design furnishing elements. This includes wardrobes in every room, shelf options, small desks, integrated room and ambient lighting, as well as TV mounts.
The power distribution and control for the LED railunits, as well as the TV connections were solved using custom installation modules made of birch wood, to which the wall railsconnect. This meant that fewer new cables had to be run through the largely very old existing walls.
